    Account Director

Danny built his first website at the age of 14 and founded an ecommerce start-up while still at University. After working in digital marketing, he burst into the world of tech PR, where a consensus has emerged that there really might be no stopping Danny Whatmough.  He maintains a well-read blog and is repeatedly featured in PR Week, Econsultancy and Reputation Online

A professionally trained singer, Danny’s harmonies can rescue even the most doomed Karaoke performance. By contrast, if he picks up his phone, it’s time to go and make a cup of tea because his dulcet tones are liable to produce more volume than a volley of Vuvuzelas.

  • Darren Willsher

    Account Manager

Before joining EML Wildfire Darren trained as a journalist and gained experience at newspapers such as The Australian (even though he’s actually from Dorset) and the Manchester Evening News. In the time it takes most people to form a thought, Darren’s already typed up the first draft of a press release and he has the response time of a ninja when it comes to answering the phone. Working hard to improve the number of stamps in his passport, Darren is an expert in running global PR campaigns and press tours for his clients and is often found on the phone to people across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the US.

Darren is an expert on all things Twitter and runs social media campaigns for a number of EML Wildfire’s clients. He’s also a huge fan of live music and can often be found reviewing midweek gigs across London. There’s no situation that Darren can’t find a South Park, Simpsons or Family Guy quote to fit.

David is an EML Wildfire Board Director and resident Asia expert. He is fluent in Japanese, dreams in Chinese and even managed to pick up some Russian along the way. He’s lived in Japan and Singapore and has been running PR campaigns in Asia for longer than he cares to remember.

David is a keen cyclist, when he’s not falling off. He is a complete foodie but, Northern-born, he is no snob – he’s as happy with a good fry up in EML Wildfire’s local greasy spoon, as with an 18-course degustation menu at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

She also devotes time to chairing meetings of the PRCA Technology PR Committee and judging the PRCA awards.

Debby’s senior role requires the agility to juggle endless and varied responsibilities, a position Debby was born to occupy. In a typical day, her attention jumps from high-level business decisions, to running brainstorms and honing vital details of key accounts and campaigns.

Don’t be fooled by Ellie’s doll-like frame – she is a force to be reckoned with and in 2010 she was given EML Wildfire’s ‘Silent Assassin Award’ for services to PR. Outside of work and study, she can mostly be found immersed in Spotify, correcting people's grammar, or organising her baking tins into size order.

Juliet has been with EML Wildfire for over 12 years initially writing client's internal communications before taking on a traditional PR role. During this time she has worked with clients in the electronics / telecoms sectors alongside manufacturing and VC companies. Juliet’s strength lies in her ability to identify a story and then communicate that story to the media. She rarely takes no for an answer and her drive and dedication endear her to media and clients alike. Firm but fair, Juliet always gets the right result.

With a flamboyant nature, Juliet can often be found dancing and singing in the office, and she cares not a jot about who is listening. Between singing, Juliet is an excellent listener who is concerned for her colleagues wellbeing and ensuring all office-folk are OK.

Like tidal energy, Max is a force of nature and his infectious enthusiasm makes the EML Wildfire offices a slightly less predictable, but more stimulating place to work. There’s a good chance you’ll spot him at industry events, meetups and tweetups, so be sure to say hello.

Her strong Hull accent provides a constant source of amusement for Paula’s colleagues, particularly when pronouncing words such as ‘quote’ (kwoooate) and ‘five’ (faaarve).  Paula is proud mum to an adorable two year old daughter who has inherited both her mum’s Northern lilt and love of baking fairy buns. Paula won, and possibly still holds, the title of ‘Under 16 Yorkshire Shotput Champion’.
